Here we have a nice example of the Irish 1916 Rising Survivors medal, nicely stamped. This is from Jerry McCarthy’s collection. Thanks for the pics, Jerry.

Hello,
My grandfather was Laurence Regan who defended the Four Courts.
Does anyone have any information on him please, also are there any medals out there with his name on? I believe he received a military funeral with Jack Lynch present in the 70′s
Yours gratefully,
Peter
What type of metal was used to make this medal?
Always loved this period of history especially since i aquired recently, 2 letters from Frongoch in which he is thanking his brother in law for sending him cigarettes etc. Also obtained, the Comhrac medal and Emergency medal with certificate belonging to the son of the recipient of the above letter. he went on and joined the regular army 26th battalion and i have all his pictures in uniform.Just thought id share this with fellow history boffins.
