We have been contacted by Dan McNamara , grandson of IRA Volunteer Dan McNamara cork no.1 brigade . 9th bat A coy. Dan is looking for any information on his grandfather , if anybody has any relevant information please post a reply on this post section.
Dan has been good enough to send us pages from Dan McNamara ‘s Diary , it makes for highly interesting reading. Thanks Dan.

I am looking for information on the McNamara and Harty Families from Co. Cork.
Margaret McNamara (born abt. 1851) married Daniel Harty (b. 1849) from Ahadallane. She is listed in the 1901 census as having a sister living with her whos name was Hannah (McNamara) (b. abt. 1841) and living at 3 Carrigcleena Beg, Kilshanning, Cork.
Four of the Harty children emigrated to the Philadelphia area around 1900. Ellen (Nellie, b. 1876), Hannah (Hanora, B. 1877), Anna (b. 1885), and Margaret (b.1889). I have some records that suggest the girls were born in Dripsey.
There were siblings that stayed in Ireland….. Timothy (b. 1872), Michael (b. 1874), and Mary (Molly, b.1882) Perhaps we still have family in your area?
I am hoping that we are related.

We’re not related . my grandfather was an only child and none of those address come up in the family history

Information on Martin McNamara (Prisoner No.3810 ) in Wormwood scrubs ,Lomdon in Feb-May 1920 available. Dont know if there is a
connection.
