This site is dedicated to the 1916 Easter Rising and the Irish War of Independence. We hope to gather as much information as possible on this period of Irish History. The difference with this platform is that we would like to invite readers to participate in the collecting of information, i.e., by submitting articles, photos, reminiscences, etc., or especially so, even heresay.
We invite people from all backgrounds to submit articles on Irish history. It is our hope that this open platform may open new avenues for research for some writers which will be a benefit to all, including military history enthusiasts, collectors, academics and writers.

It is s still from a propaganda film, purporting to be a post ambush scene in Kerry but was in fact filmed on Vico Road, Dalkley

I am curious about your photograph of Michael Collins, which is stated to be a copy from the original. As I own the original, signed by the photographer, I wonder how and when was it copied.
Hope to find here a lot of information. I am very much interested in Irish history. I am from the Netherlands but would like to know all what happened in Ireland/Northern Ireland.
